The Gourmet Explorers story
One cloudy, drizzly day in a winter not far away, an intrepid band of like-minded souls gathered and equipped themselves for a long and potentially rewarding expedition.
Tired of the mundane everyday menu, the sameness of routine cooking, they sought new horizons of taste and flavour, the diversity of new ingredients and recipes – and above all the excitement of discovery!
Little did they imagine that their gastronomic expedition would return with a fascinating range of gourmet experiences, gift hampers, baskets and more – sourced from exotic cuisines, the finest victuallers and bespoke makers of crafted produce.
Who are Gourmet Explorers?
There’s a little of the gourmet explorer in everyone who’s ever tried a new taste or recipe – especially when done with anticipation and excitement rather than fear and trepidation.
Some of our more familiar gourmet explorers include; chefs, cooks, sous chefs, master chefs, foodies, gourmands, gourmets, pastry chefs, people who watch Jamie Oliver, people who love to hate Gordon Ramsay, people who are jealous of Nigella Lawson and a whole range of others who simply love good food and wine.
A gourmet explorer is someone who knows there’s a difference between a Le Creuset casserole dish and a tagine, a pancake and a blini, a chef’s knife and a self-sharpening blade.
